Poterie Renault is a five-generation family-owned company. It dates back to 1847, when it was established at the Chateau du Argent-sur-Sauldre near Orléans, France. During its heyday, Poterie Renault was used by bistros and culinary circles across France. When the family eventually closed up shop they left a factory of untouched stock, some of which we have been lucky enough to purchase. 

This charming ridged crock was hand-formed into its classic barrel shape from French grey clay, then salt-glazed to create that shiny finish that has stood the test of time.
