Japanese “Ko Bako” Small Tansu Chest
Antique Ko Bako chest from Japan during the Showa era in the mid 20th century. Featuring a keyaki wood face, sugi cedar interior, and bronze hardware, this small chest held small personal items. Tansu is the term given to the antique cabinetry of Japan that was popularized between 1860 and 1910 to provide portable storage for small spaces. A combination of utility and beauty, each piece carries a unique history.

All large and fragile items, including NK Collection pieces and vintage, are eligible for in-store pickup or local White Glove delivery within Los Angeles County.
