The Medieval Modern series of hand painted botanical paintings conceived by the multi-hyphenate artist Lisa Borgnes. 

Each unique series is released as a limited edition volume of sixteen paintings. Borgnes was inspired to create the Medieval Modern series when she stumbled upon a magnificent illustrated codex called The Voynich Manuscript in 2023. The mystery surrounding the codex, as well as the cartoonish naivete and color palette of the illustrations, entranced her. The Voynich Manuscript depicts strange plants never seen on this earth and is written in a script the world’s best cryptographers haven't been able to decipher. Like the manuscript, Borgnes’ fantastical botanicals don’t exist on this earth, so she has free rein to paint whatever she imagines and creates.

Due to the hand painted nature of each item color and detail may vary slightly. To avoid discoloration or fading, avoid direct sunlight.

All large and fragile items including NK Collection pieces and vintage are eligible for shop or warehouse pick up as well as nationwide premium White Glove Delivery service which includes blanket wrapping and inside placement of all furniture pieces.

Please note that clients or third party couriers must provide their own packing materials. We are unable to provide packing materials or blanket wrapping, unless previously arranged with a salesperson.

White Glove Delivery

Quotes provided online and in store are valid for 30 days.

International Shipments

All household and small fine art and vintage items are shipped internationally via UPS. Duties, taxes and UPS shipment costs are displayed at checkout. For international orders, please allow 48-72 hours to process before shipment.

We are unable to ship large & fragile vintage, furniture and fine art pieces outside of the continental US; however, you may arrange delivery to your domestic freight forwarder or receiving warehouse. Contact webshop@nickeykehoe.com for additional questions.
