Solid oak step stool from Blackcreek Mercantile. Black finish with leather foot pads. The unique black finish of Blackcreek's Blackline Collection is achieved through a natural reactive process using the inherent tannic properties found within white oak. The result is a deep, durable dye whose source is rooted in the wood itself. 

Variation in color is to be expected with this natural process. Dye is designed to wear over time for a rich patina that will be unique to the object and how it is being used.

Blackcreek has been designing and making solid, hand joined wood furniture for over 20 years. Each piece is 100% domestically sourced from sustainable hardwoods and finished using traditional, non-toxic techniques.
