Indigo Dyeing Workshop

Session 1: 10am - 12pm
Session 2: 2pm - 4pm
Registration limited to 15 per session. Cost includes all materials and supplies as well as (1) NK Woven Throw Blanket.

Join us for a Saturday indigo dyeing workshop with our dear friend and artist Jeff Ricker. Participants will enjoy an afternoon learning the art of indigo dyeing with Jeff and leave the workshop with 1-2 of their own dyed textiles/garments and their own indigo dyed Nickey Kehoe Woven Throw Blanket!
Participants will receive a complimentary NK Woven Throw to dye as part of the workshop but are also welcomed to bring natural fibered textiles, shirts, pants, napkins and more to dye in the community vat.
Friends of Nickey Kehoe will recognize Jeff from the incredible large scale indigo painted wood and textile works that we've been so pleased to carry here at Nickey Kehoe for many years. Under Jeff's guidance, participants will have the opportunity to transform their own textiles into beautifully indigo dyed works of art.
Workshop Guidelines
- Participants may bring 1-2 items to dye - Small to medium size (no sheets)
- No coats, blankets, throws or large, bulky pieces
- Natural fibers only (cotton, wool, linen, silk, etc)
- Light to regular weight fabrics (tshirts, jeans, light sweaters, textiles)

Pieces will be dyed and mostly dried here on site; however, we will provide plastic bags to transport your pieces back home for their final rinse.
